Austin our new Junior Handler, Showing Trina
Congrats Austin on your very first Best Junior Handling win at the OZASC!!!
We are very proud of you!!!
I first met Austin at an AKC show about 2 months ago. He has a cute Aussie that he shows, but wanted to learn how to groom him better. That is when it all started. Now he has his first set of thinners, a grooming table, water bottle and Thick and Thicker, thanks to one of his handler buddies!!
He is a great help to all of us at the AKC shows, he will walk dogs, help us load and unload and just is an all around good guy, and he is always cheerful and happy!! We like him lots, and know that he will be the great handler and groomer he wants to be!!

New ASCA Hall of Fame Excellent, Thank you's

stopped me from getting stranded in awful weather and freezing
my butt off!
He loves the dogs as much as I do, he feeds them, takes them for long walks on the acreage with him, lets them sleep in our bed with us and takes them to the hospice center on visits to see the elderly. He will stay up with me when we are whelping puppies,
brings me a Pepsi and a Hershey bar for energy and stays ho
me happily on weekends watching the kids, when I go to dog shows, the one thing that he hates with passion, and the only thing he won't do with the dogs, is go to the dreaded CONFORMATION DOG SHOWS. He says it's like watching paint dry! Scott, a Giant Thank you, for everything you do. I love you with all my heart, and it's OK that you don't like the dog shows, just keep lovin' the dogs!!!
I would like to thank these people who have helped me in a large way to fulfill my HOFX Kennel requirement. Carol Beckstead, Mt. Terrace Kennels, for you sold me my first blue merle bitch, Ellie and got me hooked with a BOBP win, if it wasn't for you I would of never had Aussies. Sharon Herbert of Ironwood Kennels, for her help and friendship over all these years, I could not of done this with out you, you are still my sounding board and one of my closest friends. Kristin Rush, (Shadowrun Aussies), Clarissa Shank, (SkyRyder Aussies), and Carol Earnest, (Starswept Aussies) we have had so many good times thru out the years ,I am glad still to be able to call you my dearest friends. I do treasure our friendship. Debbie Gower,(by design)
Thanks to Cathy Havens(Drogheda) for I remember my first cash for quackers trial, when you made me go into the trial arena my very first time. I still remember that spinning in my head, the jello legs I had to try to walk with, and the sour pit in my stomach. I was never so scared in my life!! Thank you for making me walk into that arena!!!
Through the years there were many others that helped me along the way, a big thank you to all of you as well, to the owners of the stud dogs I used ( Terry Morgan, Linda Moss, Rhonda Silveria, Sharon Herbert, Debbie Gower, Roxanne Brophy, Patty Wirries, Pam Levin) Thank you all, you all have a part in making Makita HOFX!!

Patty Wirrie
s (Windfall Aussies), Dave and Chris Hill(Chrisdava Aussies) for all your help whether it be a sounding board for good dog advise, or just a shoulder to cry on or a drink at the bar to laugh together with or at, you were always my friends first, and were there when I needed you most. To all the people that have Makita dogs, thank you for loving them first and titleing them second. Many of you have turned into good friends thru the years.
A huge big Thank you to the late Diana Decker who said my dogs had the herding ability to get more advanced titles, you gave me the hope and the dri
ve to go on with the training, I am sure you are looking down on us today smiling, and Dawna Sims(PSR) who I can't say enough wonderful things about, you are truly talented, and one of the nicest persons I have ever met, you completed all of Nellie's Open and advanced titles and all of Gabbie's Advanced titles and most of her open as well,
THANK YOU!!!! If it wasn't for you two, I would of probably not have achieved my Hall of Fame Excellent Kennel.
